Climate-Aware manufacturing in the UAE

TenCate has equipped its new facility in Kezad, Abu Dhabi with an advanced adiabatic cooling system developed by Oxycom. This decision supports both the UAE Green Agenda 2030 and TenCate’s long-term environmental goals. By using indirect and direct evaporative cooling (IDEC) instead of conventional air conditioning, the system lowers energy use, avoids chemical coolants and significantly reduces emissions. The installation was led by Terrafic Energy, based in the UAE.
This is not a one-off solution, but part of a wider approach. Environmental performance is treated as a core metric across the value chain — from turf systems to operations. As demand for sustainable infrastructure grows in the region, TenCate continues to invest in circular systems and cleaner production methods that meet both local and global standards.
