That Drive Progress

Progress is never achieved alone. TenCate works with clubs, foundations, cities and technical partners to expand access to play, improve system performance and reduce environmental impact. Each partnership is built on shared goals and long-term commitment.

Creating space to move
Hundreds of Cruyff Courts have been built across more than 20 countries, giving over a million children each year the chance to play, connect and feel part of a community. These spaces are designed for inclusion, regardless of background or ability.

Innovation in play
This partnership with PSV is a shared commitment to understand how surfaces shape performance, safety and long term player development. At De Herdgang the daily rhythm of training offers something no lab can fully capture. Every turn, acceleration and landing provides insight into how a surface behaves under real pressure. Those moments help refine ideas, correct assumptions and move research forward in a way that only a living training environment allows.

The shared goal is simple: better surfaces that support players at every stage of their career and solutions that hold up under the demands of modern sport. De Herdgang offers the place to learn what truly works, anchored in real use and continuous feedback.

Recycling partnerships
Partnerships with GBN, ExxonMobil and Cyclyx turn used turf into new resources. In the Netherlands, a dedicated recycling facility was co-founded with GBN Artificial Grass Recycling. In the United States, TenCate Turf Recycling Solutions works with ExxonMobil and Cyclyx to advance mechanical and chemical recycling. These collaborations make end-of-life recovery a practical reality.

Sport as a bridge
In Curaçao, TenCate supports a local initiative that uses sport to bring young people together and create safe community spaces. The project highlights how access to play can strengthen social bonds, provide positive opportunities for youth and contribute to healthier neighbourhoods.
