TenCate's next generation non infill football system has achieved FIFA Quality certification without performance infill and without a shockpad, confirming that the required football performance can be delivered through the engineering of the turf system itself.
Performance engineered into the turf
FIFA Quality certification evaluates the characteristics that matter on the football pitch, including ball behaviour, shock absorption, vertical deformation, rotational resistance and overall player surface interaction. For Pure PT™, these performance characteristics are not created by loose materials beneath or within the surface. Instead, they are engineered directly into the turf through fibre architecture, yarn geometry, fibre density and overall system design.
This represents a fundamentally different approach to football turf engineering.
Developed through extensive biomechanics research, laboratory testing and real world field validation, Pure PT™ was designed around how players move, accelerate, decelerate and change direction. Continuous testing and player feedback have shaped the system throughout its development, ensuring that every design iteration contributed to the playing experience as well as long term performance.
Independent validation
The FIFA Quality certification provides independent confirmation that this alternative engineering approach meets one of the world's most recognised football performance standards.
