The Cruyff Legacy 14K. Sport is not a given.
On Sunday 12 April, more than 60 TenCate colleagues, friends and family gathered in Amsterdam for the 10th edition of the run, organised by the Johan Cruyff Foundation. What started as a run quickly became something else. Across the city, over 8,000 participants came together. Some aiming for a time, others simply enjoying the moment. Different paces, different motivations, but a shared reason to be there.
Beyond the route
That reason matters. The Cruyff Foundation works to make sport accessible for children for whom playing is not a given. Children with a disability, or those growing up in areas where space and opportunity are limited. The impact of that work is tangible. It creates places to play, but also confidence, connection and routine.
Days like this make that visible. Along the route, there is a mix of focus and lightness. Conversations between strangers, encouragement from the sidelines, and a sense that everyone is contributing to something beyond the individual effort.
Sport and play are not abstract values
Being there with 60 colleagues, friends and family made the connection straightforward. Sport and play depend on space, availability, and the conditions that bring people back.
A milestone 10th edition, and €851.639 raised for Cruyff Foundation projects.
