Dutch elite athletes deserve guidance that goes beyond winning alone. Guidance that focuses on growth, direction, and the future. With that conviction, TenCate, CSC Sport, and TalentEmpowerment have been working together since 2024 within the TalentEmpowerment network (ClubTE). The goal is straightforward: to support athletes during their sporting careers and in the steps that follow afterward.

TalentEmpowerment connects elite athletes with organizations that are willing to invest in mental resilience, personal growth, and preparation for life after sport. Each athlete follows a program tailored to the person behind the performance. It addresses managing pressure, looking ahead, and building a sustainable foundation for the future.

This approach aligns closely with how TenCate and CSC Sport view sport. Performance is never separate from the person delivering it. Support should extend beyond the field or the track.

As part of this collaboration, two Dutch combined events athletes are being supported: Sven Roosen and Sofie Dokter. Both demonstrate that top performance and personal development can reinforce one another.

Sofie specializes in the heptathlon and pentathlon and has already claimed four national titles. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she finished sixth in the heptathlon, followed by a silver medal at the 2025 European Indoor Championships. Alongside her athletic career, she is studying Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning, a clear example of balancing ambition with long term development.

Decathlete Sven Roosen has become a consistent presence at the international level. At the 2024 Olympic Games, he finished fourth, setting a Dutch record of 8,607 points, after improving his national record earlier that year in Götzis. His curiosity and willingness to keep learning make him an inspiring example for younger athletes.

At its core, this collaboration is about people. Athletes who represent the Netherlands, as well as young people who see that elite sport is about more than medals alone. It is about character, choices, and long term resilience. TalentEmpowerment (ClubTE) supports elite athletes on their path toward the Olympic Games and in their broader societal development. Through coaching, training, and connections with organizations, athletes are given the opportunity to fully realize their potential, both in sport and beyond.
